Educators are invited to browse this site for resources and information featuring Black Canadians, their heritage, culture, and contributions. Use the menu on the left to explore the variety of resources available to support elementary and secondary school programs.
In Ontario, we are so proud of the diverse groups that make up our school communities. We want our children to learn about their heritage and to develop a sense of pride from that knowledge.
To create an inclusive society where each student is a person of worth and deserving of dignity, teachers have a responsibility to provide teaching/learning experiences that are rich, informative, and factual.
This resource will assist teachers in the selection of appropriate materials to explore the experience of Black Canadians.
