Leading Learning to 18: The Principal's Role in Student Success

Own Your School Data: Improve Student Achievement

To continue to support principals in the effective implementation of the Learning to 18 and student success initiatives, the Catholic Principals' Council of Ontario and the Ontario Principals' Council, in partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Education, will be offering a new series of web conferences with a focus on the effective use of data.

Expert facilitators and participants will explore strategies for accessing, understanding and sharing multiple sources of data with their school communities to improve instruction and maximize the success of all students. Participants will be provided with data specific to their school from The Ministry of Education prior to the web conference.

Near the end of each web conference, participants will be trained to use the Leading Learning to 18 Web Network, a blogging platform that will allow interested participants to continue the dialogue and sharing of resources.

Principals and their school teams are invited to participate from the comfort of their own school. Access to a high-speed internet connection and speaker phone will be required.

By participating in this web conference, you will:

  • Contribute to meaningful discourse regarding critical issues of data use and student success
  • Join and participate in an ongoing Leading Learning to 18 blog
