

In this five-part web conference series, we will explore intentional play-based learning in the context of Kindergarten classrooms. For children, inquiry-based play provides authentic opportunities for learning. It helps children develop socially, emotionally and academically. Inquiry-based play helps children to communicate, problem-solve and self-regulate.
For educators, inquiry-based play is an area of new professional learning that necessitates rethinking traditional practices and co-constructing new practices. Inquiry-based play asks us to reframe some our ideas about assessing, planning, teaching and even classroom organization and management in order to create classrooms that are responsive to both individual and system needs.
