The NetTrekkers Comic Yearbook – Book #1 is a compilation of the NetTrekkers comics that appeared in The Canadian Reader during 2008?2009. In each of the eight three-page, full-colour stories included in the Comic Yearbook, siblings Lily, Patrick, and Christopher travel to a new location in Canada by pressing the 'Enter' key on their magic computer. During their adventures, they find out more about a region or place in their country, then return home with a press of the 'Home' key.
Engaging and educational, the NetTrekkers comics are written by well-known Canadian children's non-fiction writer Vivien Bowers and illustrated by talented Ontario cartoonist Mike Cope. They provide an ideal springboard into a new unit, an excellent source of non-fiction information about Canada, or just good reading for Canadian students in grades 3 to 5.
