Storyvalues supports integrated learning at the Kindergarten to Grade 6 level using story as the basis for character education.
Content
The e-resource provides students with the choice to listen to or read traditional multicultural folktales which deal with themes such as respect, cooperation, responsibility, teamwork, honesty, kindness, empathy, integrity, and perseverance. Some of the stories that are familiar in content and context for Canadian students will help them identify and connect with their own personal experience, while the unfamiliar stories will promote an expansion of that paradigm.
Methodology
Storyvalues supports students in developing thinking skills and social skills by providing opened-ended tasks requiring problem solving, decision making, acceptance of personal responsibility, and collaboration. The e-resource is appropriate for learners from diverse backgrounds as it promotes the development of cultural awareness through text-to-self, text-to-text, and text-to world connections. Suggestions are made throughout the e-resource for cross-curricular connections.
Assessment
The e-resource provides many opportunities for learners to demonstrate their learning.

The web pages of the e-resource are logical and clearly identify the online content.
