What Kind of World...? Facilitator's Package

The What Kind of World...? facilitator's package is a resource for teachers to assist them in introducing the UN and global issues into their classrooms. It contains three one-hour lesson plans, background information, student handouts, curriculum connections, and links to further related educational resources (print and electronic). It is targeted to Grades 5 to 8, but is appropriate for older students as well. Its aim is to provide youth with the critical skills necessary to understand global problems and work towards solutions. The lesson plans are highly participatory, allowing youth to explore notions of cooperation and conflict resolution in small groups and apply this to the international system.
