Janice Thomson Memorial Grant – Application Form

For Ontario Secondary School Educators Only

Each year, The Curriculum Foundation supports educators in their professional growth. This year, the program focuses on making assessment and evaluation integral to instruction and learning.

Educators in Ontario secondary schools who are involved in the Arts, History, "At-risk" programs, or Special Education programs can apply for participation in The Curriculum Foundation professional growth experience through the Janice Thomson Memorial Grant.

Educators who are interested in participating in a Professional Learning Community (PLC) must submit a proposal that indicates the following:

• their commitment to a shared learning experience
• how participation would contribute to their professional practice in facilitating student learning and success
• why they want to deepen their understanding of how to develop resources that support instruction/learning
• how they would be a catalyst for building capacity among their colleagues by transferring their new learning and skills

Successful candidates are given a grant to acknowledge their participation in the program.

The deadline for applications for this grant is April 1st of the year in which you are applying.
